Criminal Records

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is the central repository for statewide criminal records and allows public access through its Tennessee Open Records Information Services (TORIS). Use the Requestor Information Form to request a criminal record. Each record costs a non-refundable $29 fee, payable by Discover, MasterCard, or Visa credit card.

Comprehensive fingerprint-based criminal history records are available to qualified organizations that serve the elderly, children, and other vulnerable people. This method costs between $21.90 and $35.15, depending on the requesting entity. Organizations must provide the TBI with an ORI (Originating Agency Identifier) number, or request one from the TBI.

Alternatively, contact the Maury County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigations Unit for criminal records by calling or visiting:

Criminal Investigations Unit
1301 Lawson White Drive
Columbia. TN 38401
Phone: (931) 375-5725
Fax: (931) 380-5727

The Maury County Sheriff’s Office grants public access to incident reports. To request copies of this criminal justice record, download and complete the Request for Public Records Form.
