Based on the Crime In Tennessee report released by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in 2019, the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office recorded a total of 1297 offenses, out of which 801 were cleared. Crimes against society include two animal cruelty crimes, 239 drug/ narcotic violations, 135 drug/ narcotic, three pornography/ obscene material crimes, and 29 weapon law violations. There were 1288 adult arrests and 132 juvenile arrests.
